BlockCard was a US prepaid Visa crypto debit card launched in 2019 by Ternio (later rebranded as Unbanked) that allowed users to spend crypto at any Visa-accepting merchant. The service was discontinued in May 2023 after Metropolitan Commercial Bank (the card issuer) exited the crypto market, and Unbanked subsequently shut down entirely.
